- Yin Yoga is a yogic practice that combines traditional Hatha postures, Taoist philosophy and meridian theory. Yin yoga focuses on the connective tissue and the bones reaching down and stimulating the flow of chi through the energy conduits of the body. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to more active yang forms of exercise. Yin Yoga brings yoga back to its meditative essence and has profound physical, emotional and energetic benefits.
- VinyasaYoga is a flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and electrifies the body and mind. Emphasis is placed on flowing movement coordinated with breath. Be prepared for more upper body work with sun salutations. In the vinyasa classes, students will experience the flowing breath and synchronized movement and the principles of alignment. Beginning students will be able to develop a strong practice while more advanced students will enhance their existing practice.
- Gentle Yoga is designed for those who prefer a class less vigorous than Yoga I. It includes gentle stretches and breathing as well as simple movements designed to systematically increase the range of motion of every major joint and increase energy. This class is ideal for students with chronic symptoms such as muscle/joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue.
- Meditation is a method for developing inner peace by working with the mind. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind & body calm and peaceful, free from worries and mental discomfort so we can experience true happiness. If we train in meditation our mind will gradually become more peaceful and we will experience a purer form of happiness.
- Hatha Yoga classes use a mindfully paced practice to challenge you physically and mentally. These classes and sequences will help you explore the connection between body, breath, mind and spirit. Hatha yoga includes both physical postures, and mindful yoga breathing in an effort to increase awareness and stillness within.
